New Site Theme

Talk about on again off again... this blog is only a few days old and I'm already tired of the original theme I chose for it.  So, it was back to the 'drawing board', or in this case the themes section of drupal.org where after just a few minutes of searching, I downloaded and installed the colourise theme.
I made few minor adjustments to the layout using the handy included 'custom.css' and upladed my own background image...  and done!
So far, I love it!

Free True Type Fonts (TTF) for Linux

I do virtually all of my graphics work (web development, phote editing, etc) using The Gimp on Linx Mint  About the only thing I ever miss from Windows & Photoshop is the True Type Fonts.  I don't know why I've never done it before but a quick google lead me straight to this Ubuntu Blog with some excelllent links and instructions on how to install a variety of interesting fonts.

The above mentioned blog (while still active at the time of this writing) is getting a bit old and doesn't apear to have been updated since some time in 2007...  In short, if you want to install a bunch of fonts on Linux (Debian, Ubuntu, Mint, etc.), simply type this in a console (all on one line):
